Estimated Response Time

Peoria Fire-Medical does not publish response-time performance data on its website. Estimate: 8 stations over 176 sq mi of land gives an average station radius r ≈ √(176 ÷ (8 × π)) ≈ 2.6 miles (2.8 miles with 7 staffed stations). Density is about 1,085 residents per sq mi, so most of the city is in the suburban class; the far north around Lake Pleasant is closer to rural.
