Stations do not publish separate phone numbers; the town lists the main line (480) 503-6300 for each. Radio unit numbers use a 25 prefix (for example Haz Mat 255 at Station 5). The USFA registry reports 12 stations; the town's station page lists the 11 above.

Stations are not public counters. For anything urgent, call 911 rather than the office line.

Estimated Response Time

GFRD reports a 90th-percentile "alarm to arrival" measure in the town's benchmark reports, and the town has said it places stations to keep response times under four minutes; we could not open the latest figures, so none are quoted here. Estimate: 11 stations over 68.7 sq mi give an average station radius r ≈ √(68.7 ÷ (11 × π)) ≈ 1.4 miles (2.3 km). With about 3,900 residents per square mile and a career staff, Gilbert falls in the Urban / career class.

Community Programs & Burn Permits

GFRD runs a volunteer services program, an annual school supply drive and a holiday toy and clothing drive with Gilbert Police.

Outdoor burning: Maricopa County Air Quality Department rules ban most outdoor fires; allowed burns need a county permit (Rule 314), and yard waste may never be burned. In the Valley, recreational fires are banned May 1 – September 30 and wood fires on No Burn Days ((602) 506-6400). Ask Gilbert Fire and Rescue at (480) 503-6300 before any burn in town.
